The hardware earns this machine a hearing. The three-section hydraulic system is visible, the captured red version carries a 23 hp RATO V-twin, and exact owners report useful work with the bucket, forks, grapple, mixer, cutter, power rake and trencher. At a listed 44 in wide, it can reach jobs that make a full-size loader an expensive spectator.

The evidence is encouraging, not mature. The longest clearly documented exact-model account reaches 36 hours, and another spans only a couple of months without stating hours. All eight retained Amazon review texts award five stars, while the captured aggregate is 4.5 stars from 17 ratings, so the surviving narratives plainly do not contain every less-positive experience behind the average.

Two problems keep this from an easy recommendation. A full tank leaked around the low fuel filler when one owner pointed the machine uphill, and another HY480C owner in the same retained discussion recognized the fault. A different owner watched the hydraulic-temperature display climb beyond 71 °C with the factory fluid and stopped the machine, although his temperatures later improved substantially after a fluid change. HUAYEE describes one section serving a track and bucket curl, another serving the opposite track and boom lift, and the larger middle section serving the auxiliary circuit. That separation helps the loader travel and work an attachment without surrendering an entire drive side.

The architecture permits more combined functions, but the manual split-stick controls do not make them effortless. Each main lever drives one track fore and aft while lateral movement controls either boom lift or bucket curl, so steering, reversing and feathering the loader can demand several coordinated hand movements at once.

It still does not give the buyer a settled continuous-flow number. The most detailed close-up reads the pump markings and calculates roughly 11.4 GPM for the auxiliary section at high engine speed. That is a theoretical displacement-and-rpm result, not a flow-meter test at 17 MPa while the tracks and loader functions are consuming power. The reviewer also disclosed an affiliate relationship and free attachments from HUAYEE, so Skid Steer Mulch gives his broad performance conclusions less weight than the close mechanical observations.

This distinction matters because a tool can spin in a demonstration and still be a bad continuous match. Engine horsepower, flow at working pressure, motor displacement, case drain, oil temperature, attachment mass and control technique all have to survive together. Mechanical fit is comparatively well documented. The lift claim stops where stability begins

The 1234 lbs in the product title is not the machine’s weight. HUAYEE labels that figure rated operating capacity and lists the loader itself at 2,050 lb. It also publishes 1,765 lb as maximum lifting force, a separate hydraulic claim that cannot be rewritten as safe pallet capacity, full-height payload or permission to travel with that much weight.

The owner loads are more useful than an unsupported victory lap around the larger numbers. One machine carried eight 80-pound bags of concrete on a pallet when the stack stayed close; another handled 600 lb on forks when properly loaded. A large boulder was raised only slightly before traction, rather than lift height, moved it uphill. Those examples show useful work, traction and pushing in those owners’ conditions. They do not prove 1,234 lb at an undisclosed load center.

The same 36-hour owner reports that an excessive forward load can lift the rear of the machine. That is the boundary. Once the back rises, the hydraulics have enough force to turn the loader into the thing being lifted. The proper response is not to treat rear lift as a scale or to improvise ballast; keep the load close and low, and obtain the manufacturer’s load definition before approaching its published rating.

Value here is measured by the work displaced and the uncertainty the owner absorbs. A separately ordered heavy attachment may arrive in its own crate without anyone prepared to place it where the buyer wants. Confirm each crate, liftgate capacity and ground-placement obligation before the truck is scheduled.

Brand-level buying accounts pull in opposite directions. Buyers discussing HUAYEE excavators on Reddit describe the company as real and responsive while also reporting confusingly similar domains and easier communication by text. That is brand and buying-channel context, not HY480C performance evidence.

A separate Facebook thread contains an unresolved factory-direct delivery and refund dispute, plus positive owners and a report that HUAYEE agreed to send a replacement engine for another machine. That record does not prove the captured Amazon seller unsafe or guarantee it safe. It makes payment protection, legal seller identity and written remedies essential.

If those answers remain vague, the machine has not become a bargain; the missing paperwork has merely moved its risk onto the buyer. At 36 hours, this is a setup report

The undercarriage record illustrates both sides of the machine. More than one exact unit arrived with tracks that needed adjustment. One owner lost a track twice in soft soil around rocks while the tension was too loose, corrected it, and reported no further derailment through 36 hours over dirt, clay, gravel, pavement and sharp flint. That is a successful early correction, not a verdict on track life, drive-motor life or long-term bearing support.

The adjustment itself is grease-actuated and simple once reached, but the fitting sits behind a steel guard held by six bolts in the detailed owner account. The guard may help keep debris away from the running gear; it also puts six fasteners between the owner and a critical check. Owners discussed cutting an access hole, but no supplied source establishes that modification as approved. Use proper blocking and the actual service procedure rather than copying an improvised track recovery from a video or review.

The cooler is substantial, but the heat evidence is mixed

HUAYEE and an owner source also disagree about the fan’s nominal switch point; possible causes include a production revision, calibration, conditions or presenter error.
